If you had time to wander through the woods lately, you might have noticed a slight garlic smell. If the forest was anything like the woods around Vienna the smell might have not been so subtle. The floor is covered with fresh green bear leek leafs! If you pick them now, you can make some delicious recipes that keep them preserved for longer to enjoy wild garlic for more than the few weeks they grow in spring.
1 | Wild garlic risotto
2 | Wild garlic butter
3 |Wild garlic pesto
I can’t wait to make garlic pesto and garlic butter again and I’m already looking for new ways to make them a meal. You probably will see more if this wild herb on this blog in the next weeks.
Now. Carry on!
