It’s no conincidence that the first blog post on Look What I Made a tutorial for a bow was. As I explained there I love bows. So it’s probably no surprise that when I saw a leather bow bracelet DIY on Oh The Lovely Things I had to do it!
I made one for myself but might make more for my sisters as a little surprise to the big presents I get them anyway. They are so easy and look so fancy. Head over to the Oh The Lovely Things for the tutorial. I made it just like it’s explained there. I just didn’t have snap button, so I used a normal button and cut a small slip into the other side. It works just fine and I don’t even have to bother the boyfriend to close it.
You can easily make your own. Just cut out a piece of leather that’s at least 2 cms longer than the scope of your arm and a little band that goes around the middle. Fold the bow in the middle of the bracelet and just wrap some string around it. Tie the little leather band over the (ugly) wrapping and voilá! On the back it just has a button and a little cut as buttonhole.
So this is my DIY leather bow bracelet. What do you think? To good to give away?
Now. Carry on!
I really want to make one! So cute!! 🙂
