I love finger food. Also when I cook, I love to use my hands. Try the dough with my fingers, knead a dough  or mix salads with my bare hands. There’s something that feels so nice about touching my food that makes it taste even better. But I don’t like to hold my food in my hands that get sweaty and in this weather, that’s more often the case that I care to admit.

So I searched for an alternative when I decided I wanted to make fake fries for a spontaneous picnic and I stumbled upon this food paper bag – a few years ago. Yes, I kept this from you for far too long. I promise it’s only because I totally forgot about them.

They are just so easily made that I now eat all my fingerfood out of these. Slices of nectarines? No dripping! Ha!

All you need is:

  • baking paper
  • scissors

This food paper bag is great for kids too. The finger won’t get just as dirty. (Still sticky though because you still need your fingers to pick up the food).

What do you think? A great alternative to plastic picnic dinnerware, in my humble opinion. You can adjust the size by taking a paper square that’s bigger or smaller.

I’ll share with you tomorrow a recipe that I made this paper bags for: healthy polenta sticks. Stay tuned!

Now. Carry on!
