As I’m working from my own desk and working space right now, I want to make it as nice and inspirational as possible. What’s better than making a few more signs with different materials to keep my head in the right space. I already have this one to keep me going. But it’s not only about making stuff but making the *right* things.
Do you have any signs in your crafting or working area that inspires you? I’m looking for more wall hangers for inspiration. Share your pics on social media with the hashtag #lookatinspiration for me and all you readers to see.
All you need is:
– wood board
– black paint
– gold paint
– a broader brush
– a finer brush
– a saw
Cut from the wood board a piece about the size of an A5. Or be smarter than me and already buy pieces of plywood in the size that you need…
Paint the whole front black evenly. It looks a bit messy in the picture above but that’s only because the lighting was harsh. Also: if it is handmade it should also look like it. Robots are made for perfection. Humans are not.
Now write “Make nice things” on the front with the golden paint and the finer brush. Try on a piece of paper first to get the hang of it. Once your satisfied with the look, use it as a template and also think about making the strokes the same way.
Voilá! Your own motivational DIY wood plaque is done! Now if I’m not bound to do the right stuff, I don’t know what helps…
Now. Carry on!
