Surprise! I made a new syrup. This is seriously getting an addiction. My name is Sarah and I have been making syrup for the last couple of weeks. Hello, Sarah!
I already joke that I’m going to make a syrup bar. To be honest, I just don’t feel like baking lately and I’m really uninspired when it comes to taking food photos – except for drinks. Also I really like drinking them afterwards. It’s so humid in my office that I need to drink enough and this just gives me the best excuse.

Also there’s a funny story how I stumbled upon this: I was with a friend looking at the garden of my parents when she squeaked and said: “Oh, you have this herb that tastes like Coca Cola?!” Neither my mum nor me have heard of that, so I took a handful home and began my research. Turns out, this is Southern Wood or Eberraute (Worst. Name. Ever. Sounds horrible!) in German. Beside it’s name it really makes a delicious syrup that tastes a little like Coke.

To make it last in bottles. Heat some water in a water cattle and fill the empty glass bottles. Pour the hot water into the bottles and leave it for a few minutes. Pour it out and fill the syrup in while the glass is still hot.

Best served with some fresh raspberries, ice and soda. This is so good that I filled my glass pretty quickly. Finally, I drink enough!
