Christmas is all about cookies, right? Yes, but. But Christmas is about food in general, right? There’s certainly no feast without a food coma and now celebration without cake. See? Logic.
With this undeniable logic I present you 3 cakes that are perfect for your Christmas table. May it be for coffee and cake or as a dessert after the main course – these cake recipes will highlight the special day and can be made in advance (so you don’t have to spend all day in the kitchen).
First comes the signature cake from my dad (my father is an avid cook and his specialty are beautiful and complex cakes). This is a gluten-free chocolate cake and as a friend said: this is so suspiciously light that you could easily eat 2 – 3 pieces.
Second one is the chocolate peanut butter cake that is easier to make than it looks and is not that sweet. It looks great on every festive table setting.
Third but not least is the classic Black Forest Cake that just got a perfect decoration make-over to fit the theme: black forest. Get it?! It looks like a forest in winter and therefore is the go-to recipe to get all those ooooohs and aaaaaahs from your guests.
